FAQ Friday #11 - When testing for leaks, how soapy should my soapy solution be?

FAQ Friday #11 - When testing for leaks, how soapy should my soapy solution be?

Very! There's not much point in trying to find leaks in your inflatable, whether it's a RIB, SIB, kayak, paddleboard, hot tub or something else, with water that has so little soap in it you would contemplate watering the garden with it during a drought.

If I was using washing-up liquid as my liquid soap, I'd use about twice as much as what I would use in a bowl of washing up, but in a mug full of water.

Once mixed, do let the bubbles settle or scoop them off as they're not very helpful at helping find leaks and get in the way I find.

We've started to film and release a number of 'How to videos' and the start of our first nicely edited video shows me mixing up a soapy solution - click on this video link and skip to 35 seconds in to view this part.
