FAQ Friday #51 – What are the differences between the different RIBstore boat cleaning and protection products?

We have 3 of our own branded cleaning products (and a 4^th is due to be tested very soon!):

• BoatSoap
• ToobShine
• HypaTec

But what does each do?

BoatSoap is the newest product to the range, added in about 4 years ago, and is a pH neutral shampoo product. It’s great for more frequent cleans and to remove the loose, top surface dirt before using ToobShine. A small amount of the product is mixed in a bucket of water and used with a sponge or wash mitt to wash down the whole boat – it’s not just for the tubes! 

I’ve used this to get great results on grubby decks, transoms and green trailer boards...

It’s my go to product to wash down my paddle board after a session too...

ToobShine is much stronger than BoatSoap and is designed to be used less frequently for the purpose of deep cleaning your boat tubes, or other inflatable. It’s suitable for PVC and Hypalon and we recommend using it with a Type T non-abrasive 3M handpad - this is very different to the 3M Scotch-Brite no 96 green handpad! 

We’ve received some great before and after photos from customers over the years....

HypaTec is our UV protection product for boat tubes and is best applied after deep cleaning the tubes. We have customers who use this year after year to keep their boat looking great.

The combination of these products really can leave your boat looking like new again...
